Bookmarks add to the pleasure of reading and touch the senses especially when they’re made from precious metals and adorned with silken tassels. In the digital age, a beautifully crafted bookmark is almost revolutionary and announces to the world that you’re serious about collecting books and delving into them.
This bookmark is inspired by Auguste Delaherche’s peacock vase, which was shown at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1889. Delaherche used peacock feathers for their iridescence and exoticism.
They were also a popular Art Nouveau motif, appearing on Tiffany glass and other decorative arts.
